What do I need?

  • Learners will need to be working, volunteering or on practical placement in a residential childcare setting, as they need to show competence in both knowledge and skills. You will need to evidence a placement diary of 400 hours in practice in a suitable environment, working with age ranges Birth to 25 years (extended age range takes account of entitlements for children and young people with complex disabilities or conditions).​
