Apply to pay later – Complete our short online application & subject to your eligibility, spread the cost of your course. Knoma enables you to spread the cost over 10 months with no interest payable, or from 11-36 months on an interest bearing plan (subject to availability from your chosen course provider)

To be eligible to apply to pay with Knoma, you need to...

• Be a UK resident

• Be 18+ years old

• Have a UK bank account

First, choose the course you’d like to apply for. Then click “Pay With Knoma”.

We’ll ask you for some personal details, and perform an identity check and a credit check.

Don’t worry – Knoma performs a soft credit check at the point of application which will not impact your credit history. Your application and loan are added to your credit report once we have funded your loan.

In a minority of cases, you will need to access your banking details to securely confirm your income and expenses via Open Banking.

Upon successful application with Knoma, students will be able to find all the information related to their loan via their student portal. Within the portal you will be able to find when your next payment is due, how much of the loan has already been paid, how to pay the loan off early and much more.

For loans that are repaid over 10 months or less, no interest or fees are payable – the only fees applicable are for late payments at a cost of £7.50. We will always contact Knoma users when they’ve missed a payment and work with them to avoid missed payments resulting in charges.

Loans repaid over 11-36 months are interest-bearing plan, where the interest rate is subject to your application & personal circumstances

We use Direct Debit as the primary method. Our payment process looks like this:

• Select the course you wish to purchase with Knoma and complete an application

• Select your preferred bank account for the payments to be taken from

• Our automated system will take the monthly Direct Debit repayments over the agreed repayment term (find details in your loan agreement).

• When you have an instalment due, we'll let you know beforehand so you can make sure there's enough money in your account for that instalment. We'll do the rest.
